Current loop receiver 4-20 mA with display – Rpp 2.01-O

Rpp_2 01_current_loop_receiver_with_display

The current loop receiver with display Rpp 2.01-O is used for forceing the received 4-20 mA current value and displaying it. In addition, it receives two binary signals and played them back. Signals for cooperation with the field controller are also available.

Destination

The current loop receiver with display is designed for use in wireless transmission systems of one current loop 0-20 mA and two binary ones. Above all two additional control signals are also available, described below. Similarly it also enables displaying the received current value on the local OLED display.
The device is certainly used in situations where the laying of the cable is associated with difficulties. For instance in the form of drilling walls, installing cable trays or digging a ditch or making a passage under a roadway or pavement. Rpp 2.01-O is certainly useful when measuring current value displaying is required.
Radio transmission takes place in the band intended for Low Power Radio Devices (LPRD). It means that no permits or fees are required.

Facilities

The device cooperating with the Rpp 1.00-N or Rpp 2.00-N transmitter enables quick conversion of any sensor with a 0-20 mA current output (4-20 mA) to a wireless sensor.
This makes it easy to bring measurement signals to the controller. It is certainly very useful in cases when the measuring point is moving on land, water or in the air.
An additional, beneficial effect of using the radio current loop is also galvanic separation of the measuring sensor and the object controller. This can be important in terms of measurement interference or induced destructive overvoltage, especially at long connections. It is also worth considering using the device in places where the cord is exposed to frequent mechanical damage.

Mode of action

The current loop receiver with display forces the outputs received from the transmitter: current and digital signals and displays the measuring current loop value.
Operating status of the device is optically signaled by means of LEDs.
The receiver, on the other hand, has two digital signals, input and output, designed to work with the field controller. Input can be used, for example, to control the transmission and the output to report the wireless status. Giving meaning these signals depends on an application and takes place in the production process after consultation with the recipient.
Transmitted data packets contain an individual address, which allows the work of many devices in the same area.
The Rpp 2.01-O receiver can cooperate with both Rpp 1.00-N and Rpp 2.00-N transmitters. The type of transmitter determines the signals sent: 10-bit current or 12-bit current and two binary signals.
You can also use Rpp 2.01-O as the second or alone receiver in the system for displaying values only.
